John’s background
John holds a MASc. (Industrial Engineering) and APR professional designation from Canadian Public Relations Society. Before founding Marcovitch Public Relations, he served as Vice-President, PR for Griffin Bacal Volny, an arm of Palmer-Jarvis. John is a former editor with Maclean Hunter and broadcaster with CBC and others. He has written for The Globe and Mail and many periodicals.
John contributes to several publications. His column “Ad Nauseum” addresses marketing in Boating Industry Canada; his last page column, Crossing the Line is a personal look at a variety of topics for Canadian Yachting where he also contributes feature material; John contributes news and feature to sail-world.com.
